User Description: A produce company is recalling more than 100 of its vegetable products from stores in the US and Canada amid fears they may be contaminated with listeria bacteria.  US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency alerted Mann Packing that their products had a 'potential contamination' with the bacteria.  No illnesses have been reported thus far, and the company says its broad-sweeping recall - which mostly applies to products containing broccoli, cauliflower, green beans, Brussels sprouts and cabbages - is made out of 'an abundance of caution.'  Still, Mann Packing is warning Americans to check their vegetables for 'best if enjoyed by' dates between October 11 and November 16, 2019 as these may be contaminated with the diarrhea-, fever- and miscarriage-causing bacteria.  Mann's Packing's own brand of broccoli are among the more than 100 products the company recalled amid listeria fears (left). Most prodducts included cauliflower (right), broccoli, green beans or cabbage The products are sold under a number of brand names, including Mann's own as well as Kroger, HEB, Hungryroot, Marketside, O Organics, Signature Farms , Sysco and Trader Joe's (only the popular chain's Caulilini Florets are affected).  Listeria is most often found in deli meat and hot dogs, spreads, dairy products, including certain cheeses, smoked seafood and sprouts.  But it can find its way into other foods as well, and there are usually a few outbreaks a year.  RELATED ARTICLES Previous 1 Next Nestlé recalls 26 cookie dough products over fears there... If you have eaten or think you may have eaten potentially contaminated food and develop the earlier symptoms, contact your doctor, and if your symptoms transition to a headache and stiff neck or other neurological signs, go to an emergency room.
